Introducing Windsor Mann
If you haven’t heard of Windsor Mann (@WindsorMann), please, let me introduce you. Windsor is a well-known opinion and commentary writer. If you read The Week, Politico, Huffington Post, you have probably had an introduction. I love his stuff. In one recent piece he envisioned a time in the near future when ex-president Trump will call into Fox & Friends and no one will pick up. Prediction of a humiliating end for Trump is not the only thing Mr. Mann is writing about. Today, in The Week magazine, Windsor Mann asked a necessary question.
How Old?
Trump has been Tweeting for six months about serving more than two terms (yeah, I know he’s already as old as Methuselah). If he wins a second term he will be 80 at the end of the legal terms of service. He already has so many symptoms of dementia I hope the younger generation steps in and says, “Hell, NO”! People have been questioning Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders age and acting as if Trump is in his right mind. What about Trump’s age and his physical and mental shortcomings? He has been crowned, in a backroom somewhere, king of the moronic sentence.
Threats And Bullying
Trump has warned of socialism, economic collapse, treason, the loss of Christianity, the 2nd Amendment, and Civil War 2 if he is not re-elected, or if he is impeached and removed from office. Hmm. Quite self-serving. Just like his proclamation that “only I can fix it”. This is narcissism at its most outrageous.
The Union Is Dissolved
Back to Windsor Mann. The question that he asks the American public in his recent opinion piece in The Week is quite frankly, “Can you imagine a worse reason to start a civil war?” He qualifies that by admitting the worst reason to have a civil war is to preserve slavery. But follows quickly with “keeping Trump in power is pretty high up on the list “of the worst reasons to start a Civil War”.
In Plain Sight
The last ten days have been mind- spinning. The melt down is full-blown and playing out on cable news and newspaper headlines. The House of Representatives is on fire, every Democrat in the House has embraced impeachment. As the House steps up pressure Trump has become more reckless. The world quakes when Fox News emerges from Trump’s “jock strap”. At least four commentators are questioning the actions of Donald Trump, on air. Judge Napolitano, Libertarian to the ear hairs basically told his audience that Trump has acted illegally, and as such he is impeachable. Wow. I’m feeling the earth move under my feet.
Jumps Off The Page
Who is sharing the headlines with our sullied president? Let’s see, AG Barr has lost all credibility. His place in history will be more odorous than that of John Mitchell. It is obvious to the world the he is acting as Trump’s personal attorney. Why would he be flying around the world strong arming world leaders to intervene in the 2020 U.S. election. There are plenty of things to do in Washington, D.C. to keep the Attorney General busy. Like responding to Congressional subpoenas.
Now, Mike
High flying, overfed Mike Pompeo was caught in a BIG cover-up, related to that same July 25th phone conversation. It seeped out that Pompeo was actually on the phone call. So much for 10 days of the Whistleblower Complaint being nothing more than “second hand reporting”. That’s two porkers accounted for. Three if you count Trump. Next we need to walk right up to Mike Pence and tell him that President Trump just implicated him in the conspiracy and the cover up.
Write Up Another Article Of Impeachment, Nancy
While Kurt Volker was giving a deposition behind closed doors. In which he implicated Trump in withholding security aid to guarantee Ukraine help with his 2020 political campaign. Trump was committing another crime. While in the middle of a scandal involving extremely bad behavior, here is Trump on national television pushing China to investigate former Vice President, Joe Biden. Committing the same crime in public that months ago he and surrogates tried to hide.
Another Day
Tomorrow is another day. I’m sure that the scandal a day machine will be working full force.
