Reporting Guidelines
ICE Sightings: When reporting ICE sightings, REMEMBER S.A.L.U.T.Ε. Provide as much information as possible when reporting threats to our communities:
S as in Size/ Strength How many agents? How many vehicles? WRITE DOWN LICENSE PLATES
A as in Activity What you are seeing. Raid at a workplace, traffic stop? Is violence involved?
L as in Location What is the precise address? Intersections? Nearby landmarks?
U as in Uniform/Clothing What are they wearing? Do they have masks, vests, or badges?
T as in Time and Date Precise time and date of the sighting.
E as in Equipment/Weapons What equipment/weapons? Are they using them?
A cold wind blows as ICE sightings mount in our towns and neighborhoods. Below are some real life happenings, many in my neck of the woods, and if you want to do a community report follow the advice above.
- An ICE agent shot and killed a man in a nearby suburb, a town with dear friends where we often shop and socialize. A friend and former neighbor of mine in Addison, IL, works just moments away from where the killing occurred, a beautiful and kind Hispanic woman, under doctor’s care for cancer, who speaks only Spanish. The day of the shooting, she sat in fear at her job, afraid and sad.
- An ICE man’s weapon fell out of its holster to the ground, then the ammunition clip came out of the gun. The man being apprehended kicked the pistol aside, never going for the weapon. If this individual was a danger to society as the TV spots for ICE are telling us, then why did he not try to grab the gun? The agent then got the clip back in the firearm and pointed it at the crowd of onlookers…
- Dean Clark, formerly of “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” fame, decided to join the ICE training program – there is a video making the internet rounds of him struggling on the obstacle training course. I must say I have seen his prior acting on the Hallmark Channel, before moving to the “Great American Family” network, and suggest yet another line of work for Mr. Cain, where he is unlikely to fall down, over act, or under perform.
- Outside of an ICE detention facility in the Chicago suburb of Broadview, an agent fired a chemical projectile at a CBS reporter through the open window of her vehicle. Her face burned so badly that she vomited several times. The town’s police department is asking for ICE to cooperate.
- The same facility had at least five protesters arrested by police – at the time, the names of those arrested were released to the public online. Designated areas for protesters to exercise their rights to dissent are now set up…
- Also at the Broadview detention center, a Presbyterian minister from First Presbyterian Church of Chicago was sprayed with what was likely pepper spray a number of times up close by an ICE agent.
- A fence around the Broadview location was only taken down during the night prior to the expiring court order forcing its removal.
- In Chicago, on popular river front thoroughfare Wacker Drive, a number of masked ICE agents were staged on the sidewalk between the river and Upper Wacker. Just standing there in gator face coverings pulled up over the nose, reminiscent of movie outlaws.
- In our village, ICE agents are allegedly camped out daily at the Post Office.
- A resident in our town witnessed arrests made at a credit union – the cars of the apprehended were left behind and remained there days later. Further down the road another arrest and an another abandoned vehicle.
- ICE is rumored to be stationed at two of the Hispanic grocery stores in our burg – the stores are now offering delivery services, as a result. No word on whether delivery drivers are being followed…
- During a recent late night dinner at Omega restaurant in Niles, IL, we watched on the lobby televisions video of ICE throwing women in two different reports to the ground. Only days before ICE agents raided this eating establishment, taking a server into custody.
- Other incidents in the Niles/Glenview IL area took at least two individuals into custody.
- Video also has captured people being arrested in other northwest suburbs of Chicago.
- Oak Park, IL, reported ICE agents in two white Chevrolet vehicles at Gunderson and Adams.
- ICE was spotted outside the Home Depot in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.
- At 63rd and Kostner Ave., a person was dragged to the ground while a young woman watched in fear.
- Residents on the South Side of Chicago saved a gentlemen being wrestled to the ground by an ICE agent – these heroes then ran off, presumably to avoid their arrest.
- Western Ave. and North Ave., Chicago – 1 black and 1 white SUV.
- Kedzie and 55th.
- Potential ICE agent on National St. in Elgin, also a sighting in South Elgin at State St. and Center St.
- Addison – black car, masked and gloved; also Lake & Rohlwing, Lake & Mill – liquor store next to BK, black Hyundai Sonata.
- Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. ICE agents brought an individual into the ER that was injured during the arrest attempt. The person is currently under medical care and security at the hospital refused entry to ICE. Good for you, Edward Hospital staff. The patient was to remain hospitalized until ICE was completely withdrawn from the surrounding area.
- There were rumors of significant ICE action at the Chicago Marathon…
- Illinois Govern0r J.B. Pritzker issued a warning to ICE agents and Kristi Noem after 130 people, including toddlers and elderly individuals, were taken during a raid at 3:00 am – our Governor told Noem to grow up…
- A Black Panther leader challenged an ICE leader to celebrity boxing match at the No Kings rally in Broadview.
- Chicago radio reports nearly daily ICE raids in the city and suburbs.
- Uniformed police officers were pepper sprayed by ICE agents in the Windy City.
- A federal judge has now ordered federal agents in the Chicago area to wear body cams, due to violent confrontations.
- Judge Timothy Evans has banned ICE from making arrests at Cook County and Chicago courthouses.
- In California, ICE agents wrestled a 79-year-old car wash owner to the ground, an American citizen, cracking his ribs; a fifty million dollar law suit has been filed.
- An independent journalist in Fullerton California videoed a car of masked ICE pulling up to a car wash and chasing down two Hispanic males.
- In a Pittsburgh suburb, a Mexican restaurant was raided. Five employees, all citizens, were taken away – $100,000 of damage was reportedly done to the kitchen during the ICE incursion…
- ICE TV adds claim they are arresting criminals with a phone number to call. Racist individuals are using this number against innocent people.
- Stephen Miller is said to be giving orders that are nearly impossible – ICE agents are considering resignations, because they are not arresting human traffickers, drug dealers, or child exploiters. They apparently are tired of arresting maids, servers, landscapers, and the like.
- Country music icon and Grammy award winner Zach Bryan recorded a song about frightened children being left alone after ICE agents take their parents away. He also supported trans gender Dylan Mulvaney – his anti-Trump and anti-ICE song sings volumes.
- A meme circulating postulates a Hispanic young lady in America, former land of the free, is hiding, writing her dairy.
- A Milwaukee Brewers baseball fan reported a Latinx fan of the Dodgers – now a woman no longer has a job.
- The person responsible for ICE violence claims that the actual Noble Peace Prize winner Machado accepted the award for him – delusional Donald never ceases to amaze me…
- A prayer caravan will be held in Chicago on November 8th – the theme verse is II Corinthians 10:4 – “The weapons we fight wiROTth are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.” (NIV). Let’s all join in praying…
NO KING’S PROTEST
Over 1.5 million people had signed up for the No Kings Day rallies October 18th – about 7 million showed up! Do not shop or spend this weekend – this economic global blackout is imperative. It might be Sweetest Day, but celebrate at home because the day Trump and ICE are stopped will be THE sweetest day.
