Veterans then as now, are facing homelessness, drug addiction, alcoholism, divorce, and mental illness. Awareness leads to solutions. I loved their version of their amazing song, however sometimes a new voice can bring new life to someone else’s work. It’s a rainy day where I’m at. Given to artist(s) that brings animal rights to an underserved audience.)  for their single,  “Countdown to Extinction.” Today I thought we should have a little noise. So here is the Calamity Politics Juke box Choice of the Day. Mostly, in celebration of leaving Afghanistan. Here is Megadeth doing their incredibly long, incredibly loud masterpiece. I need to give credit to Calamity Politics contributor, Dave Shadrick for this one. So if you like his choice let him know. There are just some days that you need the dark lyrics of a group like Slipknot.  The group has been breaking guitars for over 25 years and show no signs of slowing down. The guys behind the masks have proven they are talented  songwriters and performers. In 2020 Slipknot was voted the ‘Best Band in the World’ by NME.
