The Calamity News and Politics Jukebox Choice of the Day is from the premier metal band (my opinion) BLACK SABBATH doing their powerful anti war song, “War Pigs”.  Support Ukraine. Donate to UNICEF Ukraine Relief.

Fifth Harmony “Work from Home”

Good morning and Happy Labor Day! In honor of labor, Calamity News and Politics Jukebox Choice of the Day is all about work. “Work from Home” was recorded by the American girl group Fifth Harmony. The song was released in the spring of 2016. If nothing else the buff bodies on that work site should keep your eyes glued to the screen. Happy listening, and watching. Enjoy, your Labor Day holiday, you’ve earned it.  You can also check out the lyrics below.

Work from Home

I ain’t worried ’bout nothin’
I ain’t wearin’ na-nada
I’m sittin’ pretty, impatient
But I know you gotta
Put in them hours
I’ma make it harder
I’m sendin’ pic’ after picture
I’ma get you fired
I know you’re always on that night shift
But I can’t stand these nights alone
And I don’t need no explanation
‘Cause, baby, you’re the boss at home
You don’t gotta go to work
Work, work, work, work, work, work
But you gotta put in work
Work, work, work, work, work, work
You don’t gotta go to work
Work, work, work, work, work, work
Let my body do the work
Work, work, work, work, work, work
We can work from home, oh-oh, oh-oh
We can work from home, oh-oh, oh-oh
Let’s put it into motion
I’m ‘a give you a promotion
I’ll make it feel like a vacay
Turn the bed into an ocean
We don’t need nobody
I just need your body
Nothin’ but sheets in between us
Ain’t no gettin’ off early
I know you’re always on that night shift
But I can’t stand these nights alone (oh)
And I don’t need no explanation
‘Cause, baby, you’re the boss at home (yeah, yeah)
You don’t gotta go to work
Work, work, work, work, work, work
But you gotta put in work
Work, work, work, work, work, work
You don’t gotta go to work
Work, work, work, work, work, work
Let my body do the work
Work, work, work, work, work, work
We can work from home, oh-oh, oh-oh
We can work from home, oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh, yeah, girl go to work for me (work for me)
Can you make it clap, no hands for me? (ooh, yeah)
Take it to the ground, pick it up for me (uh, ayy)
Look back at it all over me (oh, yeah)
Put in work like my timesheet (oh)
She ride it like a ’63 (oh-whoa)
I’ma buy her new Céline (oh)
Let her ride in a foreign with me
Oh, she the bae, I’m her boo
And she down to break the rules
Ride or die, she gon’ go
I’m gon’ juug, she finessin’
I pipe her, she take that
Put in overtime on your body
You ain’t gotta go to work, no
Work, work, work, work, work, work
But you gotta put in work (oh)
Work, work, work, work, work, work (ooh, yeah)
You don’t gotta go to work
Work, work, work, work, work, work
Let my body do the work (do work)
Work, work, work, work, work, work (do work, yeah, yeah)
We can work from home, oh-oh, oh-oh
We can work from home, oh-oh, oh-oh
Yeah, we can work from home, oh-oh, oh-oh
Yeah, we can work from home, oh-oh, oh-oh, yeah

Motorhead “Ace Of Spades”

Well, here’s another one of T.K.’s Jukebox Choice(s) of the Day. Motorhead with “Ace Of Spades” got three thumbs up here in the office.  You will find the lyrics below. Enjoy! DSM

Ace of Spades

Motorhead

If you like to gamble, I tell you I’m your man
You win some, lose some, all the same to me
The pleasure is to play, makes no difference what you say
I don’t share your greed, the only card I need is the Ace of Spades
The Ace of Spades
Playing for the high one, dancing with the devil
Going with the flow, it’s all a game to me
Seven or eleven, snake eyes watching you
Double up or quit, double stake or split, the Ace of Spades
The Ace of Spades
You know I’m born to lose, and gambling’s for fools
But that’s the way I like it baby
I don’t wanna live for ever
And don’t forget the joker!
Pushing up the ante, I know you gotta see me
Read ’em and weep, the dead man’s hand again
I see it in your eyes, take one look and die
The only thing you see, you know it’s gonna be the Ace of Spades
The Ace of Spades

Jimmy Eat World “The Middle”

Trump's will be moving out of White House. I'd be happy to help them pack.

Jimmy Eat World “The Middle”

It’s time for another Jukebox Choice of the Day. Our friend and contributor Trevor K. McNeil suggested today’s music choice, “The Middle”.  With moving trucks sitting in the White House driveway this happy upbeat tune gives me hope. Looking forward to Trump’s moving day. Enjoy. DSM

IZ “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”

“Somewhere Over The Rainbow”

Hawaiian singer and lyricist IZ died in 1997.  Fortunately for us his music lives on. The first time I ever heard “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” was the Judy Garland version from the movie classic, The Wizard of OZ.  For many years, that version was my favorite. However, I switched my allegiance when I heard this version by IZ. My pick for the Calamity News and Politics Jukebox Choice of the Day is the big Hawaiian’s beautiful rendition. Enjoy! DSMIZ gives us a great version of "somewhere over the rainbow"
