Trumpism Is Unsustainable

My Personal Mission

Trumpism is unsustainable. Donald Trump has been in office for two and a half years. Since November 9th, 2016 I have made it my personal mission to call out our faux president every chance I get for his scandalous and corrupt behavior. I challenge anyone, Republican or Democrat to name any president in our 200 year plus history that was worse than this guy. Trump is in fact a risk to the country, in every way imaginable.  He is a reckless and hate filled demagogue.

Temperamentally Unfit

Trump’s chaotic thinking and his emotional volatility are, in fact, a danger to the country he administers. In my most wild nightmares, I never imagined the potential of such a soulless narcissist ever being elected to any office in the country, much less the presidency. His behavior over the last week has raised both tempers and eyebrows. The local volunteer Fire Department has had to stop by my house several times to put my ‘hair fire’ out.

Trump At His Recent Jaw Dropping Worst

• Suggesting the United States buy Greenland. And when the PM of Denmark declined the offer Trump threw an international temper fit and cancelled a planned state visit.
• Suggesting multiple times that the air force use nuclear bombs to stop, or redirect  hurricanes.
• Threatening to take away a basic Constitutional right, that of birthright citizenship.
• Skipping the international panel on climate change session and lying about it while the world watched.

Take A Gasp Air, As I Continue

• Opening the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to mining and drilling.
• Planning to “pardon” staffers who break laws to get his wall agenda moved forward.
• Lobbying for the return of Putin’s Russia to the G-7 (8). Totally ignoring Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election and its takeover of Crimea.
• Planning to add more tariffs to China, Japan and EU without conversations with agricultural experts or farmers.
• Paying “hush money” (tax payer funded subsidies) to farmers to keep them his “patriotic” followers.
• “Take” (seize) the property from the legal property owners without legal recourse for land to build the Trump Wall before the election.
• Continuing abuse of the emoluments clause of the constitution. The extent of corruption has AG Bill Barr so deep into the corruption that he openly and unashamedly spent $30,000 on an upcoming holiday party at Trump’s DC hotel.

I’m Not Done Yet, There’s More

• Moving millions of dollars in FEMA money that provides for American citizens during emergency situations to support the Trump “immigration efforts” at the southern border.
• Pledging to open Alaska’s Tongass National Forest to logging. This is the last remaining intact rain forest on the planet.
• Undermining trust. The unending lies from Trump and everyone in his inner circle are predictable. The Washington Post has counted. The current count is over 12,000 verified fabrications by DJT. Combine the unending lies with the follow-up denials of statements despite there being video tape of him making the denied statement.  He is creating chaos and distrust.

The List Grows Daily

• Telling four Democratic congress women of color to “go back where you came from”!
• Promoting his private golf club as the perfect site for the 2020 G-7. Outrageous.
• The unending Twitter rages. The hate, the unending hate. If tweets reveal a Tweeter’s soul then we are getting a really significant view, into a really ugly soul.
• Tweeting insults to the mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico as Hurricane Dorian threatens the island.
• Without announcement, thousands of undocumented immigrants who have benefited from the Medical Deferment Action Program will be deported without hearing. This program allows critically ill children to receive treatment without fear of deportation. These kids are suffering from cancer, leukemia, cystic fibrosis and other life threatening ailments.

International Embarrassment

Trump is an overwhelming international embarrassment. Instead of his behavior improving with time and experience this Twitterholic is tearing apart both the our country and the established international alliance. Trump is stretching all known Executive powers beyond recognition, while vigorously pushing back using the Department of Justice to resist Congressional and media oversight. Internationally, he is a blustering buffoon; an object of ridicule, while causing diplomatic uncertainty and apprehension among long-time allies.

Stand Up To Trump?

It has become obvious the Republican lawmakers would rather retire from the House or Senate than stand up to this maniac. They say nothing. They stand up for nothing; not even their own country. History will be a harsh judge. Paraphrasing Elie Wiesel, it is the silence of the bystander that allowed the greatest atrocity in human history. His reference, was of course was to the Holocaust, and the gassing of six million Jews.

A Golf Cart Ride

Hell, many Republicans relish making up defenses for Trump’s unconscionable behavior. These Republicans caustically toss about conspiracy theories blaming Barack Obama for every calamity that has befallen humankind.   The fact that Lindsey Graham is Trump Senate cheer-leader-in-chief is disgusting in more ways than one. Lindsey thinks that because he can ride in the presidential golf cart that it gives him permission to lie to the American people and lead phony cheers for a dangerous and delusional president. It’s pathetic to watch. A man who once lambasted Trump almost daily has become his sycophant lap dog.

Intellectually Deficient & Morally Corrupt

The multiple dangers of a continued Trump presidency are ever present on my mind. I feel the greatest threat to our democracy since our country’s founding is close at hand. Our environment is threatened. Government corruption has reached an unacceptable level. We have a national debt approaching a trillion dollars. We have a climate emergency on our hands. Sadly, Trump is not up to the task intellectually, or morally. We must work together as Americans, no matter the party affiliation. Support the House of Representatives as they challenge this out-of-control president, the Senate won’t. Time we must make this criminal president accountable. The only way to insure Trump’s conviction of his multiple crimes is to bounce him from office and turn the Senate blue.
