SESSIONS RECUSES OVER KREMLIN-GATE FIRESTORM

Sessions Recuses Over Kremlin-Gate

D. S. Mitchell

A Progressive Agenda

I am admittedly a Liberal-Progressive. Calamity News and Politics is a known progressive political blog. Calamity has a serious agenda. My agenda is to put Democrats and Independents in office at all levels of American government. I am working to make that a reality in 2018. And, maybe, that is why I find the Republican trash that keeps blowing up in my face, really irritating. Such as: Paul Ryan had the guts to say, “the Dems have their hair on fire for no reason.”  Ted Cruz says, “It’s a nothing burger.”  “Keep moving.  Nothing to see here,” advises a grinning Mitch McConnell.

A Thing Of Interest

It seems many high-profile Republicans just can’t figure out why the people of the United States are interested in finding out the facts.  It has come out that  Attorney General Jeff Sessions, despite sworn testimony, had at least two meetings with the Russian Ambassador while he was acting as a surrogate for the Trump campaign. That information is big news, only to those outside the Republican party.

Cold Borscht

Gentlemen.  My advice to you, and anyone stupid enough to get too close to this administration, is be careful when you testify. We are all watching and listening. If you have dried borscht on your tie you will likely be accused of eating borscht with Putin.  It’s all about appearance.  Appearances sway opinions. If you just crawled out of a hooker’s bed, we might assume that you had gotten what you paid for.  If you are standing on a platform with a suitcase, and the train from Minneapolis is pulling away, some folks might think that you and your suitcase had just come from Minneapolis.  Get the idea?

Sessions Is No Dummy

Sessions, at least had the intelligence to recuse himself from the Trump campaign investigation.  Unfortunately, that is not enough.  There is too much smoke.  There is a fire.  Right now, it’s hidden in the walls, in the attic, in the basement, but I believe it will explode, as these things usually do.  It’s a big fire and it could, potentially, consume the White House.  I think it’s time to call the Fire Dept, or at least an Independent Investigator.

Until Now

There are a lot of questions. What about Sessions’ involvement in any post-election transition shenanigans between Trump and Putin’s Kremlin?  What about all the shadow characters that hovered around the Trump campaign, and now the administration?  Has Sessions already interfered with the investigation?  Despite his recusal will Sessions continue to get information about the various investigations?  What does he know about the Flynn investigation?  And what about Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, Carter Page, Don Jr. and Jared Kushner?  Secret meetings at Trump Tower with the Russian ambassador?  That Erik Prince meeting with Russian Putin surrogates in the Seychelles Islands? What about, “The  Donald” himself?

Missing Pieces

There are just too many puzzle pieces missing at the moment.  I’m ready to turn this place upside down until I find all the missing pieces. I want to see this whole puzzle assembled.  I’m afraid, what is about to transpire will be ugly. The Republicans and Donald Trump claim the hub bub around Kremlin-Gate is all a “witch hunt”. I say, if “it’s a witch hunt”, let’s bag some witches.
