While I was looking through my video library I stumbled onto this little montage of photos my granddaughter, Amber, put together nearly a decade ago of my dog Lily, and her kitten, Inara. Amber then posted her work on YouTube. It’s just a bit long, but so is the song. So, here folks are Lily and Inara, performing their love story to Shaun Smith’s version of ‘Ain’t No Sunshine (WhenYou’re Gone)’. Pretty cute. It brought a smile to my face and smiles are a damn good thing. Hope it makes you smile too.
**My dog Lily passed three years ago. I still miss her. And Inara, is grown up now and is as spoiled as ever.
Bill Cook stopped by the Calamity News and Politics studios to talk to Dave Shadrick about his experience growing commercial cannabis in Oregon. Its been an up and down ride for producers in Oregon. Today, Dave is talking about the unvaccinated. The current epidemic is one of the unvaccinated. How come suddenly people would rather die on the battleground of stupidity than take an incredibly safe deterrent. Nothing is perfect, and that includes vaccines. Yet when tossing the dice the odds of surviving the vaccine far outweigh surviving COVID. How could anyone in their right mind want to take the chance of being paralyzed with drugs, have a tube shoved down their throat, a catheter shoved into your bladder, turned every hour so you don’t get bed sores? Now this isn’t going to be a two hour or two day affair. This could go on for months, until you die, or improve. If you die, most likely your last moments will be alone. If you are lucky there may be a nurse there to hold your hand as you pass. So unnecessary.
Please, stop the silly nonsense and get vaccinated. Do it for yourself, your community, and the country.

The last week has been hard on Joe Biden’s reputation as a competent and empathetic leader. Joe is trying to end a 20 year war that less than 25% of the American people support. However, the media; right, left, and in-be-tween have piled on the president. A man who had nothing to do with the start or in fact the end of the damn affair. So, Dave is here to try and bring calm to the disturbed waters of American ego.
The Just Dave Show is focusing on vaccines today. The news is everywhere. The vaccine works in keeping people out of the hospital and getting seriously ill. So far 50% of the United States population has been totally vaccinated. Now the rest of you, listen up; get the damn vaccine. Stop the contrariness. People are dying for no reason. The surging pandemic is now of the unvaccinated. Dave today tries to make some sense of all of it.
Just Dave is at it again. This week Dave asks if Trump should make a run for president in 2024. The man who incited a riot to overturn our government is actually out there rallying his MAGA crowd begging for money to support another Trump presidential run. Dave says, ‘hell no’ the orange one will never run again. His goal at this point in his life is to continue milking his supporters for every cent he can squeeze out of them.
